Parkhotel Ladinia history,
the warmth of a family

Hotel Ladinia history began in the 1970s. Franco and Annamaria Peruz lived in Calalzo, where Franco ran a plumbing business with his brothers. He often travelled to San Vito for work and gradually fell in love with the village and its surrounding mountains. He bought a plot in the centre, with a splendid view of the Dolomites, and construction of the hotel began in 1970.


Franco and Annamaria had considered entrusting its management to others. But when the hotel took shape, they decided to run it themselves and welcome their first guests. Over the years, Ladinia grew while retaining the warmth of a family home.


In the 1990s, the swimming pool was built and the hotel went from three to four stars. Their three children, Romana, Albino and Marco, also contributed to the history of the hotel, each in their own way.


Today, Albino and his wife Silvia run Parkhotel Ladinia, carrying on Franco and Annamaria’s passion and their care for every guest.

Il sentiero porta alla Malga Federa, per poi proseguire fino al Lago Federa. 🤎 ➡️ Sentiero N° 437 da Ru Curto: questo percorso parte sotto al Passo Giau e, con un dislivello di 400 m e circa 2 ore di cammino, vi condurrà al magnifico lago. 💦 ➡️ In auto fino a Malga Federa: in questo periodo la strada forestale è aperta a tutti e con una camminata di soli 45 minuti arrivate alla meta 🙂 Lake Federa (2,046 m) in Cortina is an autumn must-see: it looks like a painting. 🍂🏔️ Here’s how to get there: ➡️ Gores de Federa trail: a scenic walk through enchanting woodland and beautiful waterfalls, past Malga Federa and up to the lake. ➡️ Trail 437 from Ru Curto: starting below Passo Giau, a roughly 2-hour hike with 400 m of elevation gain. ➡️ Drive to Malga Federa: the forest road is currently open to all vehicles. L’avevo vista tante volte in foto, quella grande croce sulla cima del Picco di Vallandro, a 2.839 metri. E ora, finalmente, ci sono arrivata anch’io. ❣️⛰️? Siamo partiti da Cima Banche, a 1.500 metri, e abbiamo raggiunto Prato Piazza risalendo la bellissima Valle dei Canopi. Dopo una notte in quota, l’indomani ci siamo incamminati verso la vetta lungo il sentiero n. 40: una salita costante, che mette alla prova le gambe e regala panorami stupendi. ??? Il tratto finale, esposto e attrezzato con funi metalliche, richiede passo sicuro e assenza di vertigini. Poi, finalmente, la croce con la scritta «Im Kreuz ist Heil», “Nella croce c’è la salvezza”. E la soddisfazione di esserci arrivata, in una splendida giornata autunnale con una vista incredibile sulla Croda Rossa, le Tre Cime di Lavaredo, i Cadini di Misurina ed il Cristallo.?⛰️? Per il ritorno siamo passati dal Rifugio Vallandro e siamo scesi lungo la forestale di Carbonin, completando un lungo e meraviglioso giro ad anello.??❤️ I’d seen that impressive summit cross in so many photos… and now I’ve finally reached it myself! Picco di Vallandro, 2,839 m. ❣️⛰️? Starting from Cima Banche, we hiked through beautiful Valle dei Canopi to Prato Piazza, where we spent the night. The next morning, trail no. 40 took us up to the summit. ? The final exposed section, secured with steel cables, requires sure footing and a head for heights. The reward? A perfect autumn day with breathtaking views of Croda Rossa, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Cadini di Misurina and Cristallo. We returned via Rifugio Vallandro and the forest road to Carbonin, completing a long, unforgettable loop. #parkhotelladinia
